The Workbench 2020

​Interested in documenting the intangible and unseen, in my recent work I look to my Grandfathers workbench.
The marks scribed into the surface are a catalogue of moments in time, measurements taken, projects realised.

The workbench, has been painstakingly unearthed from the objects and ephemera that have hidden it for years.  The workbench is a battleground, a landscape, a relic.  The process to reach the surface is akin to an archaeological excavation.
