Biography

Hannelore graduated with a BA (Hons) in Textile Design from Chelsea College of Art & Design in 2002.
Since completing her degree, she has worked as a freelance designer of leather accessories as well as producing bespoke jewellery pieces.

She is a practising multi-disciplinary artist, based in North Norfolk, UK. Hannelore produces abstract works in 3D, paper and textiles.

Exhibitions include Cley Contemporary Art Exhibitions, 'Pinpoint' curated by Polly Binns, as well as group shows; 'Workman' and solo shows 'Cartography' and 'Monumental'.

Hannelore completed her teacher training in 2007. Over the past ten years she has gained a wealth of experince teaching both adults and children. For eight years Hannelore held the post of Course Leader for the (UAL) Diploma in Foundation Studies in Art & Design at City College Norwich.

In 2011 Hannelore co-founded Artpocket, an independent Arts Education Organisation in Norwich that delivers accredited and leisure courses in a wide range of discipline areas to both adults and young people from their studios in Norwich. www.artpocket.co.uk

Hannelore Smith was the featured artist for TakeAway Art, October 2016.
